Ladybird, Ladybird

As the weather warms, I find my desire to run around sweaterless in floral patterned dresses significantly increasing. However, due to the nature of my job at the moment, it is often more practical to throw on a pair of jeans, put my hair in a messy bun, and attempt to keep up with a busy two year old!

This was the first Easter I had spent away from my family, and despite an everlasting sickness still hanging over my head, I had a great day! Copious amounts of chocolate, an afternoon nap, egg hunts and baby chicks! Not to mention I tried duck for the first time, and went four-wheeling in a dress!

A Trail of Shadows

Today was the first (hopefully of many) mornings when the wind did not overthrow the sunshine. It felt incredible to enjoy its warmth without being plummeted in the face with a chunk my hair. Trying to find beauty in suburbia has become one of my favorite pasttimes, and so I rarely leave home without my camera; this morning was no exception. Marily and I took a walk to the small, local park, and on the way stopped to snap some photos by the lake. There, we were captivated by a fluffy ball of domesticated love, who followed us like a shadow.
